It's so late, and we have far to travel in the morning but I have to say just a few things about tonight - they pulled the plug on the big speakers first so you could barely hear the Cure play. That was during Boys Don't Cry. The crowd sang along to the whole song anyway. They turned off the big video screen during Boys Don't Cry but the Cure kept on playing and we kept on singing. Then when they started JSET we sang along as well. When they finally cut power to their monitors during Grinding Halt, that's when they quit. We have video from the crowd of all this, I am so sorry that I won't be able to upload it all before we get home. We have a long drive ahead of us, but I will get everything we have up online just as soon as I can when we get back home. I am SO glad we came to Coachella and that was the most punk, hardcore thing I've seen them do. It was brilliant and I love the Cure so much for what they did on Friday and tonight. Both shows were excellent and well worth the trip. I spoke to both Darren and Keith afterward and Darren promised that he would give it to Robert as soon as possible. So it is in safe hands and I am confident of it's destination. Long live the Cure and thanks a million once again to Craig and all the CoF peeps that make these shows so special to attend.

I was there. Couldn't update on my phone. Insane end to a show. This was my 11th Cure show and I have never, ever seen anything like the end of this show. Robert & Co. just didn't give a fuck about the curfew. It was awesome. The PA system was cut off during BDC. We sang it for Robert! We could just hear the drums and the guitars from the monitors on stage. Then we all sang Jumping as well (have to admit that I didn't know all the lyrics but I was trying my best.) Then he started another song which I now know was Grinding Halt, but at that point the video screens were cut and then they cut the monitors. Robert kept playing it for a bit and then gave up. Epic! Too bad they cut the power. I think he was going to come back for a Faith encore after the old school one! At least we were hoping in my area.

Coolest thing about the gig? We were standing right next to Amanda Palmer, who was singing along to every word. She was super nice and super fun to rock out to The Cure with (and her set yesterday was badass.)

Good night. No real surprises in the setlist for me, but UTS was gorgeous. POY was delightful. And I don't think I've ever seen TIB live before. Good show! (and yes, WAY better than May 2, 2004 at Coachella.)
